BROCKVILLE BRAVES AND BROCKVILLE TIKIS ANNOUNCE RICK MULDER TO HOCKEY OPERATIONS LEADERSHIP ROLES
Brockville, Ontario — The Brockville Braves Junior A Hockey Club and the Brockville Tikis Junior B Hockey Club are proud to announce the appointment of Rick Mulder as Head Scout and Director of Player Personnel/Assistant General Manager of the Brockville Braves, as well as General Manager of the Brockville Tikis.
Mulder brings more than two decades of scouting, player evaluation, and hockey operations experience to the organizations, having established himself as one of the most respected talent evaluators in Eastern Ontario junior hockey.
His scouting career began with the Navan Grads, where he served as a regional scout from 2006 to 2018. During his time with the organization, Mulder developed a strong reputation for identifying talent and building relationships throughout the region.
In 2018, he joined the Pembroke Lumber Kings as Head Scout, a position he held until 2021. He then moved to the Renfrew Wolves, serving as Head Scout and Director of Hockey Operations from 2021 to 2024. Most recently, Mulder held the roles of Head Scout and Director of Hockey Operations with the Hawkesbury Hawks from 2024 to 2026.
Now joining the Brockville organizations, Mulder assumes the position of Head Scout, Director of Player Personnel, and Assistant General Manager with the Brockville Braves while also taking on the role of General Manager of the Brockville Tikis.
“Rick brings an exceptional level of experience, knowledge, and dedication to both organizations,” said the ownership group. “His track record of identifying talent, building competitive teams, and developing strong hockey operations departments makes him an invaluable addition to the Brockville Braves and Brockville Tikis.”
In his dual roles, Mulder will oversee player recruitment, scouting operations, roster construction, and player personnel decisions while helping establish a strong development pathway between the Junior B and Junior A programs.
The organizations believe Mulder’s extensive network and proven leadership will play a significant role in building sustained success both on and off the ice.
“I am excited to join the Brockville Braves and Brockville Tikis organizations,” said Mulder. “The opportunity to help build two competitive programs while creating opportunities for player development within the Brockville hockey community is something I am very much looking forward to.”
