BROCKVILLE TIKIS ANNOUNCE COACH STORR AS HEAD COACH
Brockville, Ontario — The Brockville Tikis Junior B Hockey Club is proud to announce the appointment of Shannon Storr as the organization’s new Head Coach.
With an extensive background in both playing and coaching hockey, Coach Storr brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a strong commitment to player development to the Tikis organization.
Coach Storr began his playing career in junior hockey, competing in the GOJHL and CCHL from 1987 to 1991 with the Georgetown Raiders and the Smiths Falls Bears. He continued his hockey career at Queen’s University, where he played U SPORTS hockey from 1992 to 1995 and served as team captain during his final season. In 1996, he advanced to the professional ranks, playing in the Western Professional Hockey League with the Reno Renegades and Amarillo Rattlers.
His coaching career began with the Smiths Falls U18 B-Rep program, where he served as Head Coach from 1999 to 2003, focusing on both player development and mentorship. In 2003, Coach Storr was invited to participate as a guest coach at the Los Angeles Kings Prospect Camp, working alongside some of the organization’s top prospects and draft selections.
Coach Storr later served as Head Coach of the Athens Aeros Junior B program in 2004 before continuing his coaching career within Brockville Minor Hockey and the RSL Kings organization from 2016 to 2023. During that time, he held multiple assistant coaching positions and spent one season as head coach, consistently emphasizing skill development, accountability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
A longtime member of the Brockville community, Coach Storr has lived in the city since the early 2000s and has been an educator at Brockville Collegiate Institute since 1997. His experience as a teacher has greatly influenced his coaching philosophy, with education and hockey working together to help young athletes grow both on and off the ice.

Coach Storr is excited for the upcoming season and looks forward to the opportunities, challenges, and successes that lie ahead with the Brockville Tikis.
