The Brockville Braves went 1-1 this past weekend in games against the Pembroke Lumber-Kings and the Nepean Raiders. On Friday night vs. Pembroke, the Braves fell to the Lumber-Kings by a score of 6-3 despite Ben Albright’s goal at 12:44 in the third period to put his team within one. The Braves certainly could’ve benefited from more pucks to the net as they were outshot 28-10 in the final two periods. The Braves will look to bounce back against the Lumber-Kings in their next meeting on December 1.
Boy are the Braves glad to have Ryan McNally back in the fold! No. 26 now has five points in five games since his return, and lead the way with a hat-trick in a 5-4 win over the Nepean Raiders on Sunday afternoon. A busy week ahead for the Braves with six players headed to Smiths-Falls for the Battle of Ontario All-Star Event on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by a game on home ice vs. Renfrew on Friday and a game in Carleton Place on Sunday afternoon.
The Braves are now 10-9-2 on the season and currently occupy the seventh playoff spot in an already tight race in the CCHL standings.
