The Braves defeat the Lumber Kings 4-2

Justin Evenson came up big, stopping 37 of 39 shots throughout the game. The Brockville Braves took the lead late in the second on a goal from Jonathan Hill.

Jonathan Hill had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Fred Allaire delivered for his team with 2 assists. Brendan Browne chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the second period, Kerr opened the scoring for Brockville with a goal at 8:44 with helpers from teammates Locatelli and Walker. Cote quickly followed with a goal at 10:37 with helpers from Hill and Locatelli. Hill deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:56 with assists from Allaire and Hawkins.

In the third period, Browne finally put the Lumber Kings on the board with a goal at 3:34 with helpers from Barnaby and Douglas. Warnholtz scored a goal at 13:53 with assists from his linemates, Browne and Arseneau. Gilmour answered for Brockville with a goal at 19:02 with helpers from his linemates, Allaire and Vlahos.

The Braves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Evenson’s big night as he stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced. Evenson’s counterpart, Smith, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 40, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Brockville Braves’ record to (37-19-2-2).
