The Braves defeat the Lasers 5-3

Yaniv Perets came up big, stopping 31 of 34 shots throughout the game. The Brockville Braves took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Eric Holland.

Christophe Cote delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Nicholas Hawkins did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Luca Nocita had a busy night with 2 goals.

During the first period, Schroeder opened the scoring for Kanata with a goal at 2:00 with helpers from his teammates Johnston and Boucher.

In the second, Cote answered for the Braves with a goal at 1:48 with a helper from defenseman Hill. Jarvis netted a goal at 7:03 with assists from Faith and Macdonald. Gilmour quickly followed with a goal at 8:54 with assists from his linemates, Hawkins and Halle. Holland deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:44 with helpers from his linemates, Cote and Jefferson. Nocita quickly followed with a goal at 12:59 with assists from Beaudry and Larson. Hawkins quickly followed with a goal at 13:16 with helpers from his linemates, Gilmour and Halle. Nocita answered for Kanata with a goal at 16:33 with an assist from fellow Lasers forward Quinn.

Brockville’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Perets’ big night as he stopped 31 of the 34 shots he faced. Perets’ counterpart, Hektor, also had a big night, managing to stop 36 of 41, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Brockville Braves’ record to (4-0-0-0).
