The Braves defeat the 73's 4-2

The Brockville Braves' offense had a big night, peppering the Kemptville 73's with 33 shots throughout the game. The Brockville Braves took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Eric Faith.

Tyson Kirkby delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Ashton Fry “a” contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Faith opened the scoring for Brockville with a goal at 4:22 with a helper from his teammate Kirkby.

In the second period, Faith deposited a goal at 9:48 with helpers from his linemates, Kirkby and Holland. Faith quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 11:36 with assists from Mcmahon and Gilmour. Kirkby scored a goal at 14:42 with a helper from defenseman Kerr.

In the third, Taylor finally put Kemptville on the board with a goal at 5:38 with assists from his linemates, Thousand and Fry “a”. Fry “a” netted a goal at 19:05 with helpers from Meyer “a” and Bondy.

The Braves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Wiencek as he stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced. Wiencek’s counterpart, Lukenda, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 33, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Brockville Braves’ record to (36-19-2-2).
