A Brockville Braves forward’s performance on the opening weekend of the CCHL season was noticed.

For scoring four goals and adding an assist, Colin Stacey received an honourable mention as part of CCM Hockey’s Player of the Week announcement on Wednesday. The week one award recipient is Navan goalie Ben West, who stopped 67 of 69 shots and had a goals-against of 1.00 in a pair of wins by the Grads.

Also receiving honourable mentions were Alec Lovisek of Navan and Joe Chambers of Carleton Place.

The Braves host the Pembroke Lumber Kings at the Brockville Memorial Centre on Friday at 7:30 p.m. COVID proof-of-vaccination and ID are required at the door, which is resulting in longer wait times for spectators entering the arena.
