SIMON MACK NAMED 2018-19 CCHL TOP PROSPECT

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Brockville Bravesdefenseman Simon Mack is the 2018-19 CCHL Top Prospect.

The 2001 born Brockville, ON native is fifth among CCHL defensemen with 39 points (3G, 36A) in 50 games of action. He also represented the CCHL Robinson Division at the Annual Eastern Canada Cup in Trenton, ON and Team Canada East at the World Junior A Challenge in Alberta.

“We are so fortunate to get to watch Simon play every day,” said Braves Head Coach Jesse Winchester. “He is a model of consistency for our team, and is a poster child for the type of young man that our league looks to develop. On the ice, Simon quite literally controls the pace and flow of the game, an impressive quality to bestow on anyone in our league, yet is magnified by the fact that he is only 17 years old. Simon has a bright future in the game, and it has been a true privilege to witness his development over the course of the last two seasons”.

In 98 career games, Mack has totaled 61 points (7G, 54A). He is set to attend NCAA Penn State University for the 2020-21 school year.
