Holland's hat trick helped the Braves crush the Lasers 5-0

Eric Holland led the way with a hat trick as the Brockville Braves crushed the Kanata Lasers 5-0 in a home game at Brockville Memorial Centre in Brockville. Besides, Justin Evenson posted a shutout, stopping all 33 of Kanata shots throughout the game. The Brockville Braves took the lead early in the first on a goal from Mathieu Halle and never looked back.

Mathieu Halle delivered for his team with 2 goals.

In the first, Halle opened the scoring for the Braves with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:03 with helpers from his teammates Kerr and Allaire. Halle deposited a goal at 5:22 with an assist from his linemate Kirkby. Holland put in a goal at 9:47. Holland netted a goal at 15:19 with helpers from Mack and Jefferson.

In the third period, Holland scored a goal at 3:35 with assists from Hill and Mcarthur.

The Braves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Evenson’s shutout, as he stopped all 33 of the shots he faced. Evenson’s counterpart, Carriere, also had a big night, managing to stop 6 of 9, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Brockville Braves’ record to (26-16-2-1).
