DUSTIN TRAYLEN NAMED 2018-19 GENERAL MANAGER OF THE YEAR

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that Brockville BravesDustin Traylen has been named the 2018-19 General Manager of the Year.

Traylen, a former goaltender, who is also the Braves owner, is in his fourth season operating the team which he purchased in 2015. In his first season he held the Head Coach position and was named CCHL Coach of the Year. Since then, he brought in Jesse Winchester who has since won the Coach of the Year Award in back-to-back seasons (2017-18 and 2018-19).

The Braves have been one of the top defensive teams in the league during Traylen’s tenure and continue to improve operations each year. Prior to his time in the CCHL, the Kirkland, QC native was the Goaltending Coach at Concordia University.

Traylen is an alumni of the CCHL, where he played for the Nepean Raiders from 2000-2002, being named CCHL Goaltender of the Year for the 2001-02 season. He then spent 3 seasons at Clarkson University before playing stints at the Professional level in the AHL, ECHL, UHL, and CHL.

He supports all of in our pursuit of team success and literally leaves no stone unturned in trying to find ways to make us better. He has assembled a group of outstanding young men who should be proud of the efforts they’ve put in to building a culture that we can be proud of. A culture that includes our on-ice product, our academic consistency, and our relationship within our community. Hats off to a well-deserved honour.”
