CDHL Braves & Team West Island

The Brockville Braves invite you to be a member of the 2023 CDHL Braves or Team West Island.

The Central Development Hockey League is in its 9th season with teams operating in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. The league members are all operators of Junior A programs and, as such, are preparing current and future players with the opportunity to participate in a Junior environment. In addition, players will be provided with an inclusive development program that includes power skating, fitness testing, nutritional seminars, and discounted equipment.

Each team will provide players with a 16-game season schedule and 10 hours of practice time. In keeping with the unique development aspect of the league, the rules of play will emphasize skill enhancement and promote opportunities for next level exposure. The season begins the first weekend of May and will conclude in late June, which will provide eight weeks of hockey and training both on and off the ice. Unlike programs run by private individuals, this interactive approach provides game experience along with instruction and training by Junior ‘A’ coaches, which is a requirement for operation in the CDHL. This ensures that each player is exposed to a higher level of coaching than the standard of other leagues.
