Ottawa had jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the second period. Brockville’s Ryan Gillespie scored his second goal in as many nights to put the Braves on the board at 7:16 of the second. Cody Bruchkowski tied the game less than a minute later; it was his fifth of the year. Justin McRae’s fourth goal of the young campaign gave Brockville a 3-2 lead. Freel tied the game six minutes later.

The Jr. Sens edged the Braves 33-32 in shots. Joshua Ward picked up the victory in net for Ottawa; Jake Begley took the loss for Brockville. Bruchkowski was named third star behind Freel and his teammate Faisal Alsaif.

The Braves opened the weekend with a 3-2 shootout win at home against the Cornwall Colts on Friday night.
