They’re taking their game to a different level.

Brockville Braves forward Evan Boucher and defenceman Michael Palandra have been named to the CCHL All-Star squad that will take on the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees men’s hockey team in an exhibition game in Ottawa on Saturday night. The Jr. A roster was announced Tuesday.

Former Braves forwards Emerick Nadeau of Cornwall and Josh Spratt of Hawkesbury were also selected for the Jr. A all-stars. The CCHL roster also includes defenceman Bruce Coltart of the Smiths Falls Bears.

Boucher received a second honour on Tuesday when he was named CCM Player of the Week in the CCHL. His second goal of the game against Cornwall on Friday night was the overtime winner, and Boucher completed a hat trick late in regulation in Smiths Falls on Sunday afternoon to send that game into overtime. The Bears ended up winning in a shootout.

Boucher now has nine goals and 15 points, which puts him second in the league scoring race.

“Obviously, he had a good weekend… It was nice to see,” Brockville head coach Randy Jones said in an interview. “I expect him to do that every weekend, because he has the capability to do so.”

One of the CCM award honourable mentions went to Owen Watson of the Bears. He had a three-point afternoon in the shootout win on Sunday.
