In the third period, Allaire netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:28 with a helper from fellow Braves forward Van Ettinger. Shields ‘c’quickly followed with a goal at 6:57 with an assist from his linemate Brisebois.
Brockville’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Wiencek as he stopped 19 of the 22 shots he faced. On the other hand, Wiencek’s counterpart, Roy, and Rockland’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 4 goals in 22 shots.
