In the first, Gilmour opened the scoring for Brockville with a goal at 3:38 with a helper from defenseman Hill. Cote quickly followed with a goal at 3:59 with an assist from his linemate Mcarthur.
During the second, Quinn finally put the Lasers on the board with a goal at 15:41 with helpers from teammates Bunka and Merrell. Sleeth netted a goal at 18:00 with assists from Markhauser and Nocita.
In the third, Mcarthur answered for Brockville with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:14 with helpers from his linemates, Jefferson and Holland.
The Braves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Evenson’s big night as he stopped 35 of the 37 shots he faced. Evenson’s counterpart, Carriere, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 32, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Brockville Braves’ record to (25-15-2-1).
