The Braves defeat the Bears 3-2

The Brockville Braves’ offense had a big night, peppering the Smiths Falls Bears with 41 shots throughout the game. The Brockville Braves took the lead late in the second on a goal from Nicolas Vlahos.

Nicolas Vlahos contributed with 2 goals and Michael Locatelli chipped in with 2 assists. Marc Shannon did his part, adding 2 assists.

During the first period, Hart opened the scoring for the Bears with a goal at 7:42 with helpers from his linemates, Shannon and Dicarlo.

In the second, Vlahos answered for the Braves with a goal at 8:17 with helpers from teammates Locatelli and Kerr. Jefferson netted a goal at 12:31 with an assist from Cote. Vlahos deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:39 with helpers from Locatelli and Piercey.

In the third period, Larabie answered for Smiths Falls with a goal at 7:46 with assists from Shannon and Humberstone.

The Braves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Wiencek’s big night as he stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced. Wiencek’s counterpart, Dobson, also had a big night, managing to stop 38 of 41, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Brockville Braves’ record to (38-20-2-2).
