The Braves crushed the Lumber Kings 6-2

The Brockville Braves' offense had a big night, peppering the Pembroke Lumber Kings with 35 shots throughout the game. The Brockville Braves took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Eric Holland and never looked back.

Jonathan Hill did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Nicolas Vlahos contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Vlahos opened the scoring for Brockville with a goal at 3:59 with helpers from his linemates, Walker and Mcarthur. Kirkby deposited a goal at 12:47 with a helper from Hawkins. Holland quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:45 with an assist from defenseman Hill.

In the second, Vroman finally put the Lumber Kings on the board with a goal at 5:19 with helpers from teammates Douglas and Buckley. Kamps scored a goal at 9:08. Jefferson answered for Brockville with a goal at 15:11 with assists from Jarvis and Mcarthur. Hill netted a goal at 19:59 with helpers from Hawkins and Jarvis.

During the third, Hill deposited a goal at 18:56 with assists from Vlahos and Mcarthur.

The Braves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Evenson’s big night as he stopped 36 of the 38 shots he faced. Evenson’s counterpart, Horawski, also had a big night, managing to stop 29 of 35, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Brockville Braves’ record to (14-11-0-1).
