Gilmour's hat trick helped the Braves crush the Grads 7-1

Philippe Gilmour led the way with a hat trick as the Brockville Braves crushed the Navan Grads 7-1 in a home game at Brockville Memorial Centre in Brockville. In addition, the Brockville Braves' offense had a big night, peppering Navan with 44 shots throughout the game. The Brockville Braves took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Eric Holland and never looked back.

Eric Holland did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Nicholas Hawkins delivered for his team with 2 assists.

In the first, Gilmour opened the scoring for the Braves with a goal at 4:54 with helpers from his linemates, Hawkins and Holland. Holland netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:21. Gilmour deposited a goal at 12:41 with helpers from his teammates Hawkins and Jarvis. Allaire quickly followed with a goal at 14:11 with an assist from his linemate Walker.

During the second, Jefferson netted a goal at 13:40 with a helper from Faith. Gilmour scored a goal at 17:44. Holland quickly followed with a goal at 19:04 with assists from Mack and Hill.

In the third period, Estrada finally put the Grads on the board with a goal at 10:32 with helpers from Matton and Besner ‘a’.

The Braves’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Evenson’s big night as he stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced. Evenson’s counterpart, Carter, also had a big night, managing to stop 7 of 11, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Brockville Braves’ record to (6-6-0-0).
